The concept of Gokul Square was conceived by Mrs. Neena Mandhana in response to the inadequate amenities in the village and its surroundings. Recognizing the inconvenience of locals having to travel to Hospet or Bellary for basic necessities, Mrs. Mandhana envisioned Gokul Square. The primary objective of Gokul Square is to provide employment opportunities for disadvantaged women and girls who face limited prospects due to geographic constraints and social norms that restrict their mobility. The establishment of Gokul Square not only offers convenience and cost-effectiveness for individuals residing within a 20-kilometer radius but also contributes to saving time and fuel for the community and employees.
Gokul Square emerged at a time when the idea of such a comprehensive commercial centre seemed daunting, yet Mrs. Mandhana's vision has brought immense joy to the community, earning their heartfelt gratitude. The facility is thoughtfully designed to accommodate various services, including grocery stores, fashion outlets, and healthcare amenities, consolidating these offerings within a single location.
